There is also no information on whether the suspects have legal representation, as the Kern County public defender’s office did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

The Hells Angels, founded in Fontana, California, after World War II, is designated by the U.S. Department of Justice as an outlaw motorcycle gang and criminal enterprise. The gang has a notorious history, including violent incidents such as the 1969 Altamont concert attacks, a complicated relationship with author Hunter S. Thompson, and a deadly clash with the rival Mongols gang in Laughlin, Nevada, in 2002. Federal authorities allege that the gang has long been involved in drug and firearms trafficking.
